A Communication Team is active within the Department of Biomedical Sciences, with the aim of making internal and external communication more effective, coherent, and accessible.
The Team coordinates content, initiatives, and digital tools, including social media channels, ensuring a clear and recognizable presence of the Department and supporting the Department’s Third Mission activities, including dissemination and Public Engagement initiatives.
The Team was established at the end of 2022 and manages three social media accounts:

The Department’s communication activities are structured around four main objectives:

1. Contributing to orientation and outreach activities, by making information on educational and science communication initiatives accessible to schools, students, and prospective students.
2. Promoting and supporting the Department’s research, by presenting results, projects, and collaborations in an accessible and engaging way.
3. Disseminating and making Third Mission activities accessible, highlighting the Department’s contribution to the local community, schools, and society.
4. Facilitating internal communication, by improving the circulation of information and the visibility of events, seminars, and initiatives addressed to the Department community.

To help us communicate all the Department’s activities effectively and to ensure continuity, completeness, and consistency in the content published on social media, we rely on the professionalism of the Communication Team as well as the active support and contribution of all Department members.
For this reason, a dedicated form has been created, through which every faculty member, researcher, PhD student, postdoc, and administrative staff member can submit a proposal for content to be published on social media. The submissions will be reviewed by the Team and included in the Social Editorial Plan according to the methods and timing deemed most appropriate based on the type of content.
