Spin-offs and Start-ups

Within its Third Mission activities, the Department promotes and supports the creation of spin-offs and start-ups as key tools for research valorisation and technology transfer to the productive system.
These initiatives provide a concrete link between scientific research and its practical application, enabling innovative results to be translated into high-impact solutions, services, and products in the biomedical and healthcare fields.

Departmental spin-offs operate within a broader ecosystem of collaboration with companies, institutions, and the local community, contributing to innovation and economic development also through commissioned research and joint projects.
This section presents the main entrepreneurial initiatives arising from the Department’s research activities.
